About this game

20000 Leagues Under the Sea is an adventure game based on Jules Verne’s 1870 novel. Set during the expedition of the Abraham Lincoln, it follows Professor Arronax after he joins Captain Nemo aboard the submarine Nautilus in pursuit of a sea monster.

Most of the game takes place across the Nautilus’s living room, control room, and library. Players manipulate objects, speak with characters for hints, and use a map to influence the submarine’s route. Occasional excursions lead to other locations, where puzzles and action sequences—including a shark encounter—must be handled.

The game unfolds in real time, making timing and location important. Players must also monitor Nemo’s mood, as upsetting him can lead to confinement and lost time. The point-and-click adventure has no save function.
