About this game

2010: The Graphic Action Game is an arcade puzzle game inspired by 2010: Odyssey Two. The player must keep the Discovery from crashing onto Jupiter’s volcanic moon, Io, by restoring its critical systems.

Gameplay

Choose circuits to repair in the Engine, Power, Communications, Life Support, and HAL 9000 systems. Successfully routing power gradually brings each system online. Three powered circuits provide minimum functionality, while powering four gives more room for success.

  • Use online engines and power for an orbital boost, while avoiding burns that damage circuit components.
  • Assign undamaged circuits to HAL 9000 for automatic power routing at a slower pace.
  • Use Communications to receive HAL 9000’s reports on assigned circuits.
  • Life Support helps protect powered circuits from EMP damage.
  • Repair and repower circuits damaged by EMPs.

Released for ColecoVision in 1983, the game was developed by Nuvatec, Inc. and published by Coleco.
