Action-platform game by J L Harris
3D Dotty is an action-platform game developed by J L Harris and published by Blue Ribbon in 1986.
The objective is to clear the dots across three levels on each screen while avoiding the fungus. Contact with the fungus reduces energy, and a life is lost when energy reaches zero. Players can block the fungus, although only three blocks may be active at once.
Completing a screen awards a bonus based on the remaining energy. The game includes eight screens, which repeat after the eighth with a greater energy penalty from fungus contact. Extra lives are awarded at 5,000 and 10,000 points, and a practice mode allows any of the eight screens to be attempted.
Listed platforms include the BBC Microcomputer System and Sinclair ZX Spectrum.
