7 Colors

7 Colors is a turn-based territory-control puzzle game released in 1990 for Amiga, DOS, and the PC-9800 Series. Two players begin on opposite sides of a board made from diamonds in seven colors, then alternate choosing colors to annex matching diamonds bordering their territory.

The goal is to control more than half of the board. A selected color is unavailable to the opponent for one turn, while special board layouts can include obstacle stones and lines that fill the space between opposite borders. Boards vary in diamond size and color texture, and a time limit adds gentle pressure.

Games can be played against the computer, another human, or over a local network. An included editor also allows players to create their own boards.
