About this game

A-Train, also known in Japan as Take the A-Train III, is the third entry in the A-Train series. Developed by ArtDink and published by Maxis Software and Ocean Software Ltd., it places you in control of the only railway company in a developing city.

Gameplay

The game is open-ended and focuses on transporting two types of cargo: passengers and building materials. Passenger services are generally more profitable, while building materials encourage urban growth. Delivered materials enable the construction of houses, roads, shops, and other city buildings.

You can also build and operate attractions such as ski resorts and hotels, earning additional revenue when conditions are favorable. The city is presented using a near-isometric dimetric perspective.
