About this game

In Abuse, Nick Vrenna is falsely imprisoned in a high-security facility where genetic experiments and a recent riot have transformed guards and inmates into aggressive mutants. Escape the complex while working to stop the genetic plague from spreading beyond the prison.

This nonlinear platform shooter combines keyboard movement with mouse aiming, allowing Nick to fire in any direction while running. Begin with an unlimited-ammunition laser rifle, then discover more powerful weapons such as grenade launchers, flamethrowers, and lightsabers.

Gameplay Features

  • Explore a building complex with multiple exits leading to different areas.
  • Battle mutants and automated defenses, including stationary missile launchers.
  • Use elevators, teleporters, and destructible cracked walls to progress.
  • Collect ammunition, health, and upgrades that can improve abilities such as running speed.
