Color-Matching Falling-Block Puzzle on Atari 2600
Acid Drop is a falling-block puzzle game for the Atari 2600, similar to Columns. Arrange blocks to create horizontal or vertical lines of three or more matching colors, causing those blocks to disappear.
After a match, remaining blocks fall downward, although newly formed lines do not disappear automatically. At every 10,000 points, the special Acid Drop block appears, removing three columns of blocks and marking the start of the next level.
Released in 1991, Acid Drop was developed and published by Salu Ltd. and is noted as the last official commercial game for the Atari 2600.
