About this game

Action Fighter is a top-down, vertically scrolling shooter that begins with the player controlling a vulnerable motorbike. Enemies include cars and bikes, while flags provide bonus points and reaching 10,000 points awards an extra life.

Vehicle upgrades

Power-ups are obtained by docking with a Sega van. Successive dockings grant double fire, a rocket, a rear force field, and invulnerability. Collecting the letters A through D enables transformation into a sportscar, which is more resistant to attacks but less maneuverable.

Collecting the full sequence of A–F letters allows the player to transform into a high-tech plane. This aircraft is required to reach the destination and pursue the main target during the final stage of one of the game's five missions.

Time-based missions

Each mission is governed by a time limit, encouraging players to upgrade and reach the high-tech plane as quickly as possible.
