Action Force II: International Heroes

Action Force II: International Heroes is a platform shooter for the ZX Spectrum, published by Virgin Games in 1988 and developed by Gang of Five. It is the sequel to Action Force.

Cobra has taken innocent citizens hostage and holds them in groups atop urban buildings. The player controls Airtight’s weapon crosshairs from a helicopter, shooting enemies before they can injure Quick Kick as he climbs each building.

Gameplay

• Guide Quick Kick up building exteriors while protecting him from attacking enemies.
• Quick Kick loses energy during each level; shooting U.S. flags on some screens replenishes it.
• When Quick Kick reaches the roof, the hostages are released and head for the rescue helicopter.
• At the end of each level, choose between a machine-gun, bazooka, or bio-gun, each with different advantages and drawbacks.
• Every two levels, defeat a tank by shooting it a required number of times within a time limit.
