About this game

Actua Ice Hockey 2 is a follow-up to Actua Ice Hockey, focused on a fictional North American league known as the Gremlin Hockey League. Its unlicensed teams and players are inspired by real NHL counterparts, while enhanced graphics and gameplay expand on the earlier game.

Gameplay

  • Three speeds of play
  • Three-on-three arcade mode on a smaller rink
  • Network play
  • Advanced body-collision physics
  • Colored puck trails through the GremTrax system, with slower shots and passes shown in green and faster ones in red

Team Management and Tactics

Players can select lines, adjust how teams build attacks, set attacking speed, determine when teams shoot, and choose defensive approaches. Tactical decisions can also be delegated to the computer. Player trading is available for roster management.

Released on April 23, 1999, Actua Ice Hockey 2 was developed and published by Gremlin Graphics for PC (Microsoft Windows) and PlayStation.
