About this game

Ad Astra is an action-oriented arcade shooter released for the Sinclair ZX Spectrum in 1983. Players pilot a craft through seven stages, blasting enemy ships while avoiding planetoids rushing toward the screen.

The game includes five alien types arranged in eight formations, with enemies using two kinds of lasers. Later challenges include destroying rotating minefields, battling spinning saucers that require multiple hits, and completing Way Station sections by remembering and entering security codes.

With six lives and a demanding sequence of hazards, Ad Astra offers a varied and tough arcade experience. It was developed by Carter Follis Software Associates and published by Gargoyle Games.
