Top-down tennis simulation with tactical shot selection and major tournament play.
Adidas Championship Tie-Break is a top-down scrolling tennis simulation released in 1989. Player movement is handled automatically, while you control shot selection when approaching the ball.
Alongside standard shots, the game offers topspin, lobs, and stop volleys. Matches support up to 16 players in singles competition across a variety of court surfaces.
The tournament structure includes the four Grand Slam events at Melbourne, Roland Garros, Wimbledon, and New York, as well as the Davis Cup and Masters events. The game also presents an early attempt at TV-style coverage.
