About this game

Air Management '96 is a turn-based airline management simulation developed and published by Koei. Players take the role of an airline CEO, choosing an airline name, tail logo, and home airport before competing against other airlines.

Managing an Airline

Four board members can be assigned tasks such as purchasing aircraft, bidding for airport slots, acquiring airport facilities, and launching regional public-relations campaigns. Each assignment takes a varying amount of time.

After acquiring aircraft and securing available slots, players plan routes between airports. Routes can then be managed by adjusting the number of daily flights, passenger capacity, and ticket prices.

Scenarios and Victory

The game includes two scenarios representing different eras. Play ends when one airline reaches the target amount of money.

Released in 1996, the game features updated 3D graphics and an interface compared with earlier entries in the series.
