Akumajou Dracula

In Akumajou Dracula, the vampire hunter Simon Belmont enters Count Dracula’s mansion after the vampire’s resurrection brings terror to the land.

Simon fights through the castle using his whip, facing skeletons, bats, fishmen, medusa heads, and other enemies. Defeating foes and whipping candles can reveal power-ups, including upgrades that increase the whip’s power and length. Additional weapons consume hearts when used, while hidden sections of the castle may contain health-restoring turkey or Double and Triple Shot abilities.

Each castle section ends with a boss battle, leading ultimately to a confrontation with Count Dracula. The game was developed and published by Konami for the Nintendo Famicom Disk System and Sharp X68000.
