About this game

Al-Qadim: The Genie's Curse is an action role-playing game set in the Al-Qadim campaign of the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons tabletop RPG. You play as the youngest son of a Noble Merchant, training under the Master Corsair Sinbar while pursuing the goal of becoming a Corsair and earning the hand of Kara, the Caliph's daughter.

Gameplay alternates between friendly areas and dangerous dungeons. In settlements and other safe locations, you can speak with characters, choose dialogue lines, and make moral decisions. During dungeon exploration, enemies are defeated through action-based combat using melee weapons, a slingshot, and magic spells.

Defeating enemies awards experience points, allowing the protagonist's statistics to be raised after gaining a level. Special items and training can also permanently improve certain attack parameters.
