Alice's Mom's Rescue

Alice's Mom's Rescue is a puzzle platformer designed with old consoles in mind. Alice sets out to rescue her mother, who has been abducted by a giant raven, after a white rabbit claims to know the location of the raven's nest.

Gameplay

The game features three worlds with several levels each. Reach every level's exit while avoiding enemy creatures and deadly hazards including spikes, water, and lava. Enemies cannot be defeated, and contact reduces Alice's hearts by one, while environmental hazards are instantly fatal.

Progress involves finding keys for locked gates, pushing levers, navigating disappearing platforms, and moving crates to reach otherwise inaccessible areas. Mushrooms can shrink Alice or restore her normal size. Mini-Alice can enter narrow passageways, but she cannot push crates and has shorter, lower jumps.

There is no game over: after failure, the current level restarts from the beginning. A new game can also be started from the last stage previously reached.
