A World War II turn-based strategy sequel focused on Allied campaigns, unit survival, and prestige management.
The briefing
Allied General is a turn-based strategy sequel to Panzer General, presenting World War II from the Allied perspective. The game includes two British campaigns, one U.S. campaign, and one Russian campaign set across Europe, Russia, and Northern Africa.
Prestige points are earned by completing scenarios, with larger rewards for finishing in fewer turns. These points are used to purchase replacement units. Surviving units carry over to later missions and gain experience, making scenario results important beyond the immediate battle.
The campaign structure is not completely linear. The outcome of one scenario affects the next mission, and losing does not always end the campaign. A narrow victory can create serious future disadvantages, while a major victory can improve subsequent missions.
