A 1986 collection of eight spoof sporting events for non-sporting competitors
The briefing
Alternative World Games is a collection of eight mini-games built around a humorous alternative to serious sporting simulations. Released in 1986, it supports one- and two-player events, with up to six player names entered for a competition.
Players select events from a menu styled as a bank of television screens. Individual games or the full eight-event competition can be chosen, with scores shown after each event and a final medal table at the end.
Available for Amstrad CPC, Commodore C64/128/MAX, and Sinclair ZX Spectrum.
