About this game

Amegas is a Breakout variant for Amiga that builds on the play mechanics associated with Arkanoid. Players move a bat along the bottom of the screen, bouncing a ball into coloured brick formations to clear them.

Some bricks require multiple hits, shown by dots on their faces, while special icons introduce hazards and changes to the playfield. Skull-marked bricks cost a life when struck, and bricks marked with an x can spawn and spread new bricks.

Colour-coded pickups may fall from destroyed bricks and grant special abilities. Unlike automatically activated bonuses, Amegas stores the latest collected power-up for later use through the right mouse button, including after a ball is lost.
