About this game

Andretti Racing brings stock car and Formula 1-style competition to the track, offering two distinct racing types and a range of gameplay options.

Modes and Features

  • Exhibition Race: Enter a single race to practice the controls or compete without starting a career.
  • Career: Register a name, choose a vehicle, and compete through a ten-week season against drivers with realistic AI.
  • Versus: Race against other players.
  • Racing School: Instructional videos featuring Mario Andretti, Michael Andretti, and Jeff Andretti cover the sport and car construction.

Races take place at modeled venues including Calder Park Thunderdome, Vallejo Speedway, Grand Rapids Motorsports Complex, and Oceanside International Raceway. Track schedules and locations vary between the stock car and Formula 1-style events.

Players can tune transmissions, tires, front and rear wings, downforce, and gear ratios. Damage, control, and camera options are also available. A split-screen link-cable setup supports up to four players across two consoles.
