Android One: The Reactor Run

Android One: The Reactor Run is a horizontally scrolling action shooter with tile-based graphics. The android must reach and destroy a reactor before time runs out, using a laser beam against some aliens while avoiding others that are impervious to fire.

Progress is divided into individual screens, with a slider showing how far the player has advanced. Brick walls must be shot through along the way. After destroying the reactor, the android must return to the starting point for extra points, this time without a time limit.

Controls

• Keyboard: Left and right rotate the android in 90-degree steps, while forward moves it ahead.
• Joystick: The android runs in the direction the joystick is moved.

The game was developed by Costa Panayi and Mark Haigh-Hutchinson and published by Vortex Software for Amstrad CPC and Sinclair ZX Spectrum.
