Arcade shooter action across increasingly difficult alien-infested sectors

The briefing

About this game

Annihilator is an arcade shooter in which you pilot a small space ship over the surface of a rocky planet. Use a joystick to move left and right, avoid incoming threats, and fire the ship’s front-firing cannon at alien spacecraft.

Each level introduces a group of enemies and different hazards. The game begins with airborne alien ships, followed by ground installations and then random meteors that must be avoided. Clearing a sector displays “SECTOR CLEARED” and advances the game to a progressively harder level.

The ship starts with a single shot and a smart bomb, with additional smart bombs available during play. An extra ship is earned after reaching 10,000 points, while the main objective is to destroy as many aliens as possible and achieve a high score.
