Aoi Blink

Aoi Blink is an action platformer based on a TV anime series. Released in 1990 for the NEC PC Engine and TurboGrafx-16/PC Engine, it is developed by Westone and published by Hudson Soft.

Gameplay

The game is divided into areas shown on map screens, with branching routes determined by where levels are exited. Each area contains a hidden master key needed to access its boss. Players must then reach the area’s final level and battle the boss while riding the titular donkey.

Each stage provides three preset characters with different abilities. One character may excel at jumping, while another may have weaker jumps but use a spread-shot weapon. The other characters follow the player-controlled character throughout the stage.
