Ape Escape: On the Loose is a remake of the first Ape Escape game for PlayStation Portable. When Specter, a monkey-turned-maniacal mastermind, sends his army of monkeys through time to alter history and conquer the world, players must pursue him and capture more than 200 monkeys.

The adventure spans eight different worlds and more than 20 levels, with multiplayer functionality and a variety of minigames adding to the platforming-focused experience.
