Rescue the princess in a storybook arcade adventure

The briefing

About this game

Arabian follows a young Arabian Prince on a quest to rescue a Princess held captive in a castle tower. His journey takes him across the seas, through caves, and onto flying carpets, with animated storybook pages and an attract mode introducing the adventure.

Using an 8-way joystick, the Prince can walk, jump, super-jump, crawl, and climb. A Kick button lets him fend off enemies including brass-jug Genies, swooping Rocs, and ghostly purple Oscars. More dangerous Super Rocs and Super Oscars can also appear.

Points are earned by defeating enemies, collecting lettered jugs, and spelling A-R-A-B-I-A-N in order. The Prince loses a life after being struck by a smokeball, falling from a ledge, carpet, or vine, or touching an enemy.
