An eight-level space shoot ’em up inspired by Galaxians and Space Invaders

The briefing

About this game

Arcadia 64 is a space shoot ’em up developed by Eugene Evans and published by Imagine Software. Players control a ship at the bottom of the screen while enemy ships scroll across the screen from right to left in successive waves.

The game features eight levels. After completing the final level, play cycles back to the first without increasing difficulty. Clearing four waves awards an extra life, while the ongoing objective is to achieve a high score.

Controls

Its keyboard layout assigns different actions to rows of keys. Alternating keys on the bottom row move the ship left or right, the middle row operates the thrusters, and the top row fires the dual lasers.
