The briefing

About this game

Arcadia is a fixed shooter published by Imagine Software in 1982. Combining elements associated with Gorf and Galaxian, it puts the player in control of a space ship while alien formations move and scroll down the screen.

Gameplay

The game features 12 different levels. Progression requires surviving until the timer in the top-left corner counts down from 99 to 0. When the timer reaches zero, surviving aliens descend rapidly. Completing every four levels awards an extra life.

After level 12, the game loops back to level 1 without additional difficulty. Alien values increase with the level number, so the same alien is worth 1 point on level 1 and 13 points on level 13.
