Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? adapts the Fox TV game show into a quiz game featuring the voice and CGI likeness of host Jeff Foxworthy. Players answer 10 questions across subjects including grammar, animal science, and astronomy, with potential winnings ranging from $1,000 to $1,000,000.

The game board covers grades one through five, with two questions per grade. Players can select the grade and subject they want to tackle, then choose from five classmates—Amanda, Cynthia, Joseph, Edward, and Logan—each with different subject specialties. Classmates can help through the copy, peek, and save options.

The first nine questions use multiple-choice answers, while the final million-dollar question requires the answer to be spelled manually. Players may drop out and keep their winnings, but once they commit to answering, they cannot use a cheat or withdraw. Unlike the television show, the game has no time limit.
