About this game

Assassin's Creed: Altaïr's Chronicles is a prequel to Assassin's Creed that follows Altaïr Ibn La-Ahad rather than Desmond Miles. Released on February 5, 2008, it combines 3D platforming and puzzles with third-person hack-and-slash combat and limited stealth gameplay.

The Nintendo DS version uses the touchscreen for activities such as interrogation and pickpocketing, as well as map display during standard gameplay. Combat centers on weak and strong attacks, blocks, and combos, with bombs and projectiles becoming available later. The available weapons include a hidden retractable blade, sword, crossbow, explosive bombs, smoke bombs, and throwing knives.

The game includes three difficulty levels and visits five cities: Tyre and Aleppo, Jerusalem, Acre, and Damascus. It was developed by Gameloft and published by Ubisoft for Android, iOS, Legacy Mobile Device, Nintendo DS, and Windows Phone.
