Asterix

Asterix is a horizontal-scrolling beat ’em up arcade game based on the French Asterix and Obelix comic series. Players can take control of either Asterix or his best friend, Obelix, as they fight against the oppressive Roman Empire.

The game features humorous combat moves, comic-inspired artwork, and playful touches such as defeated Legionnaires crawling away. Bonus stages, including a chariot race at the end of the first level, introduce different gameplay elements between the fighting sections.
