Classic asteroid-blasting shooter with hyperspace escapes
The briefing
Asteroid Belt is a shooter developed by Jeremy Smith and published by Computer Concepts. As a clone of Asteroids, the game challenges players to destroy flying asteroids that split into smaller pieces when hit, while avoiding UFO fire.
When situations become dangerous, players can use hyperspace to escape. Asteroid Belt was released in 1982 for the Atari 2600 and BBC Microcomputer System.
