The briefing

About this game

Attack of the Mutant Camels is an arcade shooter sequel to Gridrunner, also known in Europe as Matrix: Gridrunner 2. You play a retired starship captain drawn back into combat when tougher aliens return to begin a second gridwar.

Pilot your ship and fire on chains of camel-shaped alien pods. Destroyed pods split into smaller independent chains while guns attack from the bottom and left sides of the screen. A human traitor can also cross the upper grid, making enemy fire more accurate, though the traitor can be shot.

Deflectors can turn bullets or ricochet them back toward you, and enemies return fire. Later levels change the direction of the attack, adding further challenge.
