About this game

Attack on Alpha Centauri is a fixed-screen shoot ’em up released for the BBC Microcomputer System in 1982 by Software Invasion.

Players control a spacecraft along the bottom of the screen, moving left and right while firing at rows of enormous wasps. The enemies begin in stationary formations before taking turns moving downward and dropping bombs.

Each cleared wave is replaced by a more difficult one, continuing until all three lives are lost. Stationary wasps are worth 10 points, while flying wasps are worth 100 points.
