Combat racing through an underground ATV championship in the French Alps.
The briefing
ATV Mania is an all-terrain vehicle combat racing game developed by Deibus Studios and published by Gotham Games. Released for PlayStation on July 23, 2003, it features three modes: Championship, Single Race, and Time Attack.
The main mode places the player in an underground ATV championship held among the French Alps. Choose from six racers, each with an individual ATV rated for speed, grip, and armor, then compete against five rival racers across six tracks.
Race results award points and cash, with the racer earning the most points after all six events winning the championship. Cash can be used to purchase additional weapon ammunition, including grenades, land mines, and homing missiles.
After each race, the player answers questions from another character by selecting from a list of responses. An investigative news reporter covering the illegal races may offer an interview, with cooperation potentially earning extra cash.
