About this game

Backyard Sports: Baseball 2007 is an arcade-oriented baseball game featuring cartoon-styled kids, including younger versions of active MLB players from its release period.

Gameplay

Batting and pitching focus on timing, while players can also control fielding and manage base runners. Filling the power meter enables special advantages, such as the pitcher's “split ball,” which divides the ball into two.

Optional difficulty settings include automatic fielding and bat aim. With bat aim enabled, players must direct the ball toward the intended flight path.

Modes and Teams

  • Quick matches, including two-player games
  • Season mode with lineup changes and statistics
  • Home Run Derby
  • Fielder's Challenge fielding training

Players can use predefined or customized teams. Additional content, including young MLB athletes and stronger leagues, can be unlocked by completing achievements.

Platforms

The game was released for Nintendo Game Boy Advance, Nintendo GameCube, Microsoft Windows, and PlayStation 2.
