A post-nuclear top-down action RPG about preventing war between humans and mutants.
The briefing
Bad Blood is a top-down action game with light role-playing elements, set in a post-nuclear wasteland. Pure-blooded humans live in large cities, while mutant communities survive in villages across the plains. When Lord Dominix seeks to destroy the mutants, your village chief tasks you with stopping the coming war.
Players choose one of three predefined characters: Varrigg, a strong mutant who fights bare-handed; Dekker, a human armed with a knife; or Jakka, who can fire laser beams from her eyes. This choice has limited influence on the gameplay and storyline.
Gameplay focuses on exploring the world map, visiting cities and villages, speaking with NPCs, collecting items and weapons, and engaging in real-time combat. Available weapons include shotguns, grenades, and Uzis. The game has no character statistics or character development system.
A day-night cycle affects the number of monsters on the plains and determines whether certain NPCs can be spoken to.
