Balance of Power: The 1990 Edition

Balance of Power: The 1990 Edition updates the original geopolitical strategy game for a changing world in which the Communist Bloc is crumbling and smaller nations are asserting greater independence.

Use military, covert, and industrial forces to make your country the most prestigious power in the world while avoiding nuclear war. The new multipolar level allows smaller countries to start wars with neighboring nations independently, while you can influence events by providing military aid or encouraging their actions.

The edition expands the game to 80 countries and adds a four-member Crisis Advisory Board to provide guidance during international crises. Superpowers can direct smaller nations, but must continue monitoring their primary rival.
