Arcade puzzle action with matching-ball strategy

The briefing

About this game

Ballistic is an arcade puzzle game built around shooting patterned balls outward from the center of the screen. Placing three matching balls next to one another clears them, creating a play style somewhat similar to Puyo Puyo.

Game Modes

  • Panic! presents a constant string of balls. Players must keep clearing matching balls to prevent the string from becoming too long, snaking around the screen, and reaching the center.
  • Checkmate provides a limited number of balls that must be used to clear every ball on the screen. Careful planning is essential because players must maximize the number of balls removed with their available shots.

Ballistic was released in 1999 and is associated with Infogrames and Mitchell as developers, and Capcom and Infogrames as publishers. Listed platforms include Nintendo Game Boy Color, Nuon, and PlayStation.
