Barrage

Barrage is an arcade shooter in which players defend a planet from the fiendish Draks and their falling acid balls. Two laser gun towers sit at the sides of the screen, while a movable crosshair is used to target incoming threats.

Military vehicles and buildings on the ground must be protected across increasingly larger and faster waves. Later attacks add acid balls that can change course and fast-moving hydrazine meteors. Because the guns have limited ammunition, careful shooting is essential; the towers are rebuilt and restocked at the start of each new attack.

The game includes single-player, cooperative two-player, and competitive two-player modes. It was developed by Sofmachine and published by DataBioTics for the Texas Instruments TI-99 and TI 99-4A.
