About this game

Barunba is a comic-style shooter released on April 27, 1990. You control a spacecraft surrounded by a weapons ring, allowing it to fire in various directions as levels scroll automatically across the screen.

Gameplay

Defeated enemies can provide pods that upgrade the spacecraft's weapons. Each long stage has its own theme and includes a mid-level boss and an end boss; both must be defeated to progress.

A status bar displays the ship's energy. The game ends when that energy is depleted.
