Basil the Great Mouse Detective

Basil the Great Mouse Detective is a colorful platform adventure based on the 1986 Walt Disney animated movie. Playing as Basil, you search London for clues after Professor Ratigan kidnaps Dr. Dawson.

The adventure spans three locales: London’s shops and docks, the sewers, and Ratigan’s den. Each area contains five real clues hidden in objects such as bags, cans, jars, and chests. Basil uses his magnifying glass to investigate, while fake clues must be discarded until the genuine set is complete. Clues can also provide directions to the level exit.

Basil’s energy decreases as he traverses the multi-screen platform stages and faces Ratigan’s goons. Cheese restores energy, while mousetraps can be placed in the goons’ path to make them harmless, though traps occupy a pocket until used.
