Bass Rise

Bass Rise is a fishing simulator for PlayStation, released on September 30, 1999. Players select rods and lures to suit their fishing style before heading out onto the lake.

Fishing areas feature characters who offer advice or issue challenges. Completing these challenges opens new locations, while bringing in each catch requires finesse rather than brute strength. An underwater perspective shows the fish struggling during the fight.

Developed by BEC and published by Bandai, Bass Rise focuses on the action and technique of landing fish without the cleanup afterward.
