Batalyx is a collection of six mini-games developed by Jeff Minter and published by Ariolasoft UK for the Commodore 64 and Commodore C64/128/MAX.
Progress is tracked through completion icons earned by clearing levels and sections. Five completed icons finish the game, while an overall time limit is represented by a decreasing bar.
Mini-games
- Hallucino-bomblets: Control a probe by firing in the opposite direction, shoot unusual enemies to earn credits, and fill the credit bar to gain part of a completion icon.
- AMC2 (Attack of the Mutant Camels 2): Use the radar to locate and repeatedly shoot giant camels before they reach the base, then survive a missile-avoidance warp section.
- Activation of Iridis Base: Repeat joystick and fire-button sequences to control photons in a Simon-like challenge, viewed from behind a camel approaching a pyramid-like base.
- Cippy on the Run: Help the goat-like Cippy turn floor and ceiling tiles rainbow-coloured while continuously firing at enemies that can alter the tiles.
- Synchro II: Move patterned squares together to synchronise the floor and stop floating enemy probes from moving.
- Psychadelia 2: An extra light-synthesizer mode for changing background colour, symmetry, and line length.
