About this game

Battalion Commander is a real-time tactical simulation of modern warfare, placing the player in command of an entire armored battalion as a lieutenant colonel. Choose U.S., Soviet, or Chinese forces and direct infantry, tanks, APCs, artillery, assault guns, and other units.

The game includes five scenarios and 40 maps featuring rivers, hills, minefields, and other varied terrain. Orders are issued by selecting locations on the map, then choosing actions for companies or platoons, including fire support, smoke screens, bridge-laying, and digging in. Handicaps can be assigned to either side to adjust the difficulty.
