Battle Arena Toshinden

Battle Arena Toshinden is a one-on-one fighting game centered on eight renowned weapon fighters invited to a mysterious tournament. Its defining feature is the ability to sidestep fully around an opponent, allowing attacks from any angle.

The combat resembles Street Fighter while adding three-dimensional movement, though its move set is somewhat less deep. Versions were released for the Sony PlayStation and DOS, with the DOS edition differing notably in appearance and gameplay despite sharing the same characters, attacks, and controls.

The U.S. and European PlayStation releases use revised English voices and rearranged music. The DOS version retains the Japanese PlayStation audio across regions, although at a lower recording quality.
