About this game

Battle for Normandy is a turn-based strategy game centered on the D-Day campaign. Players can command the Allied invasion or take the role of the German commander, deploying ground forces and panzers to contest the beachheads.

As the Supreme Allied Commander, the objective is to establish and consolidate beachheads at Utah, Omaha, Juno, Gold, and Sword, then capture Cherbourg, Caen, and St. Lo while disrupting enemy formations. The German side must contain the invasion and attempt to drive Allied forces back to the beaches.

The campaign runs for 25 days, ending at noon on June 30, when the player's position is evaluated. Solitaire play is available as the Americans, with several difficulty levels.
