A comical anime-themed scrolling shooter sequel to Trouble Shooter
The briefing
Battle Mania Daiginjou is a comical anime-themed scrolling shooter and the sequel to Trouble Shooter. Released for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis on December 24, 1993, it was developed and published by Vic Tokai.
Players control Mania and Maria simultaneously. Maria follows closely behind Mania and can turn around to fire at enemies approaching from the rear. Unlike many shooters, Mania has a health meter that can be replenished with pickups.
At the beginning of each stage, players can choose from a variety of weapons. Weapons can also be powered up during play. A screen-clearing bomb attack is available, but it must recharge after use.
