About this game

Bear Bovver is an action, arcade, and platform game developed by Jon Ritman and published by Microbyte. Released in 1983 for the ZX Spectrum and Commodore 64, it follows Ted as he searches a construction site for batteries after his Sinclair electric truck breaks down.

Ted must climb the scaffolding and collect all the batteries while avoiding bovver bears. Time bombs scattered around the site can be used to get rid of the bears. Completing the battery collection allows the player to advance to the next level.

The game also includes Baby Bear Mode, a practice mode where players can move around the site and collect batteries without being captured.
