About this game

Beverly Hills Cop is a 1989 action game based on the police film starring Eddie Murphy. Developed by Michael Hedley, Subway Software, and Tynesoft Computer Software, it combines arcade, platform, racing, and shooter elements across four distinct stages.

Gameplay

  1. Warehouse: Shoot enemies in a sequence influenced by Green Beret.
  2. Vehicle pursuit: Chase three lorries carrying weapons and shoot them one by one. Staying on the road and avoiding contact are required to complete this section.
  3. Mansion grounds: Cross the grounds while shooting anyone who blocks the way.
  4. Mansion interior: Explore a first-person 3D section with limited movement angles and one enemy on screen at a time.

Some versions allow the individual sub-games to be practiced from the main screen. The game was published by Tynesoft Computer Software for Amiga, Amstrad CPC, Atari ST, BBC Microcomputer System, Commodore 64, DOS, and Sinclair ZX Spectrum platforms.
