About this game

Big Air is a snowboarding game developed by Pitbull Syndicate and published by Accolade. It features 30 courses across France, Japan, Scotland, Switzerland, the United States, and Germany, with events focused on racing, tricks, aerial maneuvers, and obstacle-filled competition.

Game Modes

  • World Tour: Progress through easy, medium, and hard divisions by earning points, defeating competitors, meeting boss characters, and unlocking courses.
  • Training: Practice the controls and gameplay options.
  • One-Player: Compete against another contestant across a series of events.
  • Two-Player: Race and compete with another player for the title of Snowboarding King.

Events and Customization

Events include Freeride Race, Freeride Trick, Half Pipe, Big Air, and Boardercross. Players can perform flips, grabs, 180s, and other maneuvers, with trick-based events awarding points for difficulty and style. Boardercross adds jumps, sharp turns, and hazardous obstacles to the racing format.

The game includes more than 80 realistically modeled snowboards and apparel from manufacturers including Palmer, Ride, Morrow, Joyride, Arbor, Maui and Sons, Burton, Sessions, and Westbeach. Its soundtrack features punk acts such as Blink 182, Limp, Snuff, Diesel Boy, Leatherface, and The Odd Numbers. Big Air supports the Dual Shock Analog Controller, including analog controls and vibration, along with memory card saving.
